The Wednesbury to Brierley Hill extension to the Midland Metro tram network will play a significant role in the regeneration and economic growth for the West Midlands, and GeoMax’s Zoom90 robotic total station with X-PAD monitoring software is playing a role.
Pell Frischmann, an international, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with over 90 years of experience in the built environment, has been using our equipment to monitor the track during the installation of piling at Delta Junction – a project that has been running since July 2021.
“Having been introduced to GeoMax software a few months before, I knew that the user-friendly software would provide all that I needed,” says James Bedingfield, principal surveyor at Pell Frischmann.
“The X-PAD software is simple to use and gives multiple avenues to output the data,” he continues. “By using a few simple in-house routines, we created bespoke automated daily reports which met the client’s needs. The Zoom90 has also been very reliable.”
Working with GeoMax
Pell Frischmann is now planning to purchase a further Zoom90 and GNSS receiver, adding to their fleet of kit to be used on future monitoring jobs.
