Balfour Beatty VINCI HS2
The Complete Package For Large Scale Projects
Surveyors/Engineers on Phase 1 of the project build rely on effective data capture and office-to-field set-out creating Topo surveys to aid the design process and provide accurate as-built information verification. The best kit for job is a combination of GeoMax X-Pole, Robots and Rovers, each configured with the HS2 NTv2 coordinate system. Coupled with their SCC Software, now also with NTv2 inclusive, gives a complete and competitive package. “The simple interface is really easy to use with 99% of team feedback confirming that X-PAD is an intuitive product – and at a competitive price. The dedicated customer and technical support provided by GeoMax and Visual-ize has given us total confidence in the project.”

Civil engineers play an extremely important role in society and Jackson-Civils are committed to providing opportunities and development programmes for the next generation. Following another successful year of industrial placements, six graduates will be returning to Jackson to start their career in the construction industry with some, like Hamza Din going on to study a Masters in Civil Engineering. “I see Jacksons as a company where I have potential to grow’.

Andy Beardsley and the team at long-standing customer Terra Measurement had a curious onlooker this year as they trotted out more surveying steps to support Shelter UK this Christmas.
“We had neigh problems on this site yesterday. Also, with the efficiency of the GeoMax Zenith25 and GNSS Rover, we'll not be at this site furlong…”

Building New Homes For Families
Ireland based, the team at Blacklough specialise in Design & Build construction, building residential estates bringing new homes to families including the recent project housing development in Lucan. Project Manager Michael Landy needed accurate data and chose GeoMax Zoom90 Total Stations with MESA rugged tablets for the job. GeoMax dealer HiTechniques provided dedicated Academy training to the Blacklough surveyors to keep the project time and cost effective, whilst developing team skills too.

Applauding New Apprentices
Greenhatch is committed to developing young careers with their Apprenticeship programme. Working in partnership with GeoMax gives the students the ability to learn with technically advanced kit with easy to use interface as well as technical support. Second year Civil Engineering Apprentice, Anna Fitch is one of many beginning their careers with a fulfilling experience studying whilst working as a Junior Surveyor at GreenHatch. Congrats to all the apprentices for their development this year.

Robust And Reliable Robotic At -11ºC
The construction of a new wharf at King Edward Point, South Georgia, was carried out on behalf of British Antarctic Survey, to allow the RRS Sir David Attenborough to berth safely.
Site Engineer, Will Jones praised the reliability and robustness of the GeoMax Zoom90 Robotic Total Station, operating in all weathers including 40 knot katabatic winds and temperatures reaching minus 11degrees. ‘The Zoom90 has a user-friendly interface and reliable software. The accuracy allowed for more than adequate setting out and the robotic tracking was especially good at range.’

NSS specialises in near-shore and inshore survey services across all marine sectors and environments.
NSS needs to deliver cost-effective, highly accurate detailed Topographical surveys to their customers. NSS chose the GeoMax Zoom90 as it was cost effective and provided the high accuracy required for the task at hand. The system could be operated from either the tablet or a secondary hand held device which suited individual users supported with a high level of interaction when we needed it most.
